Thursday Thirteen-Thirteen Memories...

Thirteen Memories I have. Virenda
1. The day my first daughter was born. I was 16 and scared of course but it was the best day ever. I had an epidural and so I was laughing and joking. It was a party like atmosphere, and at the end of it all I had my beautiful baby girl. 2. The morning of my honeymoon, driving to San Fransisco from Las Vegas, hands down one of the best memories 3. The first time, at the age of 7, I saw my mom do drugs. We were at a hotel with her "friends" and they sent me to the vending machine for snacks. When I came back everyone else was busy and I couldn't find my mom so I decided to look in the bathroom, where my mom was seated on the toilet bent over glass. I didn't know what it was then except that I didn't like it. NOT my favorite memory. 4. The day I lost my virginity. Full of nerves, laughter and a whole lot of fear. Now that I look back I feel sorry for that young girl, but hey things happen. Oh and don't forget to remind me to tell you the story about Denise... LMAO 5. Picking carrots with my nonnie (g-g-ma) in her garden, I would steal them when she wasn't looking and run to the shed to eat them. I always thought she never knew until 10 years later when she made a side comment about it. I love that she never reprimanded me. See you soon Nonnie... 6. The day I came home from school and read my moms suicide note. It was a desperate ploy to keep an a$$hole in her life, had nothing to do with me. Like most things. 7. The day I took my oldest daughter to her first day of school. I never thought I would cry so much, I couldn't even drive home. 8. The night we received a phone call that my papa had died. He was the best man I have ever known and I love him till my heart shatters. 9. Um speaking of death (lol, why laugh? why not?!) The day my mom called me, while I was at my best friend Katie's house, to tell me that my other best friend had died. I was 14 and so was Kimi when she died. It was surreal and haunting. She was born with a heart problem that she didn't tell anyone about. That is a whole other story. 10. The weekend I spent with my BEST friend Lena up in Northern Califronia. It was my first real girl's trip and I had such a blast with her, the whole weekend rocked! Story about hot guy to continue... 11. For some reason the day I found out my friend Lena loved Nintendo (ONLY Mario Brothers), we are so alike it's freaky! 12. Baking cookies with my grandmother. We always baked biscotti, russian tea cakes, thumb print, and chocolate chip. It would take us all day and we would talk and laugh. She still makes the best cookies. (She also still remembers to make me thumb print cookies with the apple mint jelly) 13. I have so many good and bad memories but I will end with this one. The day I had to tell my family that I was pregnant at 16 just like my mother was with me. My grandma wouldn't talk to me and my g-pa was sooo dissapointed. My mom just kept saying things about how I couldn't put it up for adoption because it wasn't right (she is adopted and has many issues). However in all the flurry, the anger, dissapointment, my uncle was the one that said he loved me, that he would support me no matter what. He asked me if I was happy, and that I was special to him and he was happy for me. He latter sent a care package FULL of baby clothes from the gap and thing for me. He was the ONLY one to do that. My family later came around but my uncle was the only one that loved me without reservation. I LOVE YOU UNCLE! Links to other Thursday Thirteens! 1. Dubious Wonder 2. Cheeky Lotus 3. Renee 4. I figured out how to do bold. I don't want to bold while explaining this so I am using parenthesis instead of arrows in my example. Use < > when you are trying it and not ( ). (b)BOLD(/b)
Or you can do a whole sentence.

Epidurals are nice for helping with laughing and joking during the most physically painful experience I've ever had!

Alright.
I knew I liked you and Lena for a reason.
Nintendo. Mario Bros only.
Clearly we are all the same age.

Happy Thursday!
Mine are up.

Nintendo Mario Bros...there's nothing else.

I'm sorry about the memory of your mom doing drugs. My dad and step-mom were drug users and dealers. I hated being around them and hated my sisters having to live like that even more.

Ooookay. I. Am. Crying. Vi, you are a wonderful writer. Every memory is so vivid. I do love you so.

I'll try not to comment on every single one...

#2 - I can hear you chattering with excitement here. DId you have a mix CD? I bet you diiiid.

#3 - What a sad and scary memory to carry. I'm sorry.

#4 - Are you describing the guy in the 2nd sentence? Cuz I know you're too cool- lol.

#5 - This is so cute. I'm going to start calling you Bunny Rabbit like I do Miss.

#6 - I think of this story often.

#7 - I vaguely remember "being there for you" by phone. Why don't I recall more about this? I am dreading this!

#9 - I think of this memory often as well.

#10 - Uh, yeah. And, yeah. Don't forget Shrek. Or the Russian.

#11 - I thought we were going to kiss here. Really. THAT'S how excited we were. My dirty little secret was yours too! Yay!

#13 - I just love your uncle. Can you tell him?

...Am I going to meet him?

Awesome list as always.
